Freshman year can be one of the most challenging, yet rewarding years of college. You're in a completely new place, surrounded by new people and you're working towards a degree in (hopefully) something you're very passionate about. Here are some things we wish we knew 3 years ago to save us some time and definitely embarrassment.
Freshman Classes
Freshman year is all about time management. Choosing your class times wisely, picking the professor with the best ratings. These things are more commonly known, but what you may not know until you do it, are things we've been conditioned to do in high school. Such as, raising your hand to go to the bathroom, skipping classes and more. Tune into Episode Two, Dear Freshman Me and hear all about the do's and don'ts for your freshman year classes.
First Year Parties
Another thing you're probably not used to is parties in college. No more curfew, no more texting your parents when and where you'll be, a whole new sense of freedom comes with college that is exciting. As discussed in this episode, it's every man for themselves. Watch your surroundings, always keep an eye on your drink and stick with a group of friends who you know have your best interests at heart.
